Loved this. Captures the atmosphere of the time and place so well.
Can I confess that I have never watched all of Kaho Na.. in one sitting. It was asynchronous, episodic viewing two decades before streaming platforms caught on.
This happened with us as well..I am a Baldwinian and we witnessed this postcard madness during KNPH and also Kuch Kuch Hota Hai..lovely trip during memory lane
So personal, yet so relatable! I also grew up in Bangalore at around the same time. I moved to Kumarans from PTA and had the same insecurities!
I'm blown away by how many of us were living these dual lives. Interesting times :)
Enjoyed reading this. You dancing to ‘ek pal ka jeena’ was the plot twist I didn’t expect! Gotta see it to believe it xD
Haha! NOT going to happen.
You've managed to capture a snapshot of a really special time and place! I felt I was right there next to you, living it all.
That's very kind of you. Thanks for reading!

Honestly, it's a terrible movie. Hackneyed plot, cliched dialogue. Hritik alone saves it, methinks.
Nice to know you've always been ahead of the curve :)

Brilliant! KKHH probably had more appeal with the ladies. I don't recall seeing any merch, atleast. Also, hello neighbour!
Wonderful. I remember the dichotomy well. Will write about it sometime later. Great post mate.
Yes! Please write. I'm surprised to see how universal this dichotomy was.
Memories, bring back memories.
